IPMP Celebration, June 14, 2023 - Beit Shmuel Jerusalem

On June 14, 2023 we celebrated the completion of distribution of grants of the IPMP by the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) in a festive event in Beit Shmuel in Jerusalem, in the presence of the funders of the program; Beth Klarman, Kim McCabe and Lauren Fogel of the Klarman Family Foundation, Dr. Yigal Mersel and Asher Ragen of Yad Hanadiv, Prof. Yossi Mekori and Naomi Beck of the Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Council of Higher Education (PBC), Dr. Avi Israeli from the Ministry of Health and Yehuda Reuven from the Israel National Digital Agency. Also participated, 56 of the IPMP recipients, officials from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance, and various universities and hospitals in Israel.

Prof. Yossi Mekori opened the event by saying: "The program created high-quality and meaningful partnerships between scientists in research institutions and physician researchers in hospitals, which un-doubtfully leads to a better path for translational research".

Prof. Benny Geiger, former chair of the academic board of the Israel Science Foundation and one of the founders of the IPMP presented a new program which continues the very fruitful partnership between the ISF, the Klarman Family Foundation, Yad Hanadiv and the PBC - 'MAVRI" - that is being developed based on the success of the IPMP and is planned to triple the amount invested in bomedical research in Israel in universities and hospitals.
